“When a man dies all his deeds comes to an end except for three: an ongoing charity, beneficial knowledge and a righteous son who prays for him.”

(Sahih Bukhari)

Values

Restoring the Ummah Through the Qur’an and Sunnah

At Darul Hijrah Academy, we firmly believe that the success of the Ummah lies in returning to the teachings of the Qur’an and the Sunnah of our beloved Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. This is the path to restoring the glory of Islam and the high state of iman (faith) demonstrated by the Prophet ﷺ and his companions.

As Umar ibn al-Khattab رضي الله عنه (may Allah be pleased with him) wisely said:

“We were the most despised of people. Allah gave us respect through Islam, so if we seek respect through ways other than how Allah granted it to us, then Allah will surely humiliate us!”

Imam Malik (the Imam of Darul Hijrah) also emphasized:
“The latter part of this Ummah will not be corrected except by what corrected its earliest generations.”

With this understanding, Darul Hijrah Academy is dedicated to providing authentic Islamic education to Muslims worldwide. We ask Allah to grant us the ability to continue fulfilling this noble mission and serving the global Muslim community.

Mission

Guiding the Ummah Toward Authentic Islamic Understanding

At Darul Hijrah Academy, our mission is to lead the ummah toward a correct understanding of Islam, rooted in the Qur’an and Sunnah. We are dedicated to serving the deen, seeking the pleasure of our Creator, and inspiring mothers to embrace their faith fully. By nurturing their children with Islamic values, we aim to cultivate future leaders of the ummah, following the legacy of great imams like Imam Malik and Imam Shafi’i. This vision is realized when mothers embody the dedication and character of the noble women who raised these luminaries. May Allah bless our efforts and make us among those who enter Jannah.

The Prophet ﷺ said:

My ummah will split into seventy-three sects, all of whom will be in Hell except one group.”

When asked who they were, he replied:
(Those who follow) that which I and my companions follow.”
This is recorded in the hadith of ‘Abd-Allaah ibn ‘Amr, classified as hasan by al-Tirmidhi (2641).

At Darul Hijrah Academy, all our courses are rooted in the rich scholarly tradition of the Qur’an and Sunnah, as understood by the Sahabah (Companions) and the Salaf al-Salih (Pious Predecessors). We uphold respect for all scholars of Ahl al-Sunnah wal-Jama’ah, ensuring an authentic and holistic approach to Islamic learning.

Curriculum

Classical Islamic Education Rooted in Authentic Texts

At Darul Hijrah Academy, our curriculum is built on classical Islamic texts, known as mutoun—concise summaries of key Islamic disciplines. These timeless masterpieces, authored by renowned scholars such as Imam al-Bukhari, Ibn Hajr al-Asqalani, and Imam Muslim, form the foundation of our teachings. Each text is carefully explained by certified educators who have studied under senior scholars with unbroken chains of narration (isnad) back to the original authors.

Key Features of Our Curriculum:

  • Structured and Authentic Learning: Gain a comprehensive understanding of Islamic knowledge through a guided and systematic approach, far superior to self-study.
  • Text Study, Exams, and Ijazah: Students study and understand the texts, take exams, and receive ijazah (certification) upon successful completion.
  • Interactive Community: Access an exclusive WhatsApp group for discussions and networking with fellow students of knowledge.
